Repas Sauvé

BEGINNER DIVISION

Our project is a mobile application designed to reduce food waste and help people in need. Every day, many restaurants throw away food that is still good to eat. Our app connects restaurants with leftover food to people who need it, including low-income individuals and those experiencing homelessness. There are two types of users: restaurants that donate their unsold food, and people who can find and pick up this food easily. The goal is to make food sharing simple, reduce waste, and support the community in a practical and meaningful way.

Attention is currency!

Our app mainly targets teenagers, since they are the ones most prone to procrastination. In fact, about 95% percent of teenagers report procrastinating on a regular basis (National Library of Medicine). Fixing issues with procrastination fits into the SDG 3 of health and well-being since procrastination in the long term greatly affects people's stress levels, sleep quality, and ultimately their immune systems. We decided to combine motivational features that keeps users engaged and time management features together into an app, and thus, Procrastinever was made.

SafeTrace

SENIOR DIVISION

In the United States, roughly 11.7 million adults in the United States are victims of doxxing.

According to SafeHome.org, even though 77% of individuals fear of being doxxed, many of them do not enforce their privacy settings. Many of the information used for doxxing are unknowingly revealed in posts on social media. As a result, this detrimental problem faced by both men and women must be addressed immediately. Our solution, SafeTrace, prevents self-doxxing by scanning users’ photos before they post it on social media platforms, and removing data/metadata susceptible to revealing the user’s personally identifiable information.
