Technovation was the catalyst for my passion for community involvement and overcoming challenges. The program pushed me to step out of my comfort zone, boosting my self-confidence. It offered me the platform to practice my public speaking and communication skills. What's more, Technovation broadened my horizons by providing invaluable insight into entrepreneurship and the future of technology.

But beyond the knowledge and skills acquired, it's the lasting bonds forged over the years that have been most valuable. I remain forever grateful to all those who have helped make this program a reality.

The trigger for my passion for entrepreneurship as well as my interest in coding and economics was none other than Technovation. The program allowed me to acquire new knowledge and new skills that are very rarely taught in school. What I have acquired is invaluable: meeting new people, building a good team spirit, knowing how to organize, plan, distribute tasks, overcome obstacles, help each other but above all, create a project from A to Z simply through our imagination.

It isn’t just an international competition. It’s a team that supports you in this project. The Montreal Technovation team is always there for you in every step of the way and offers you new life opportunities.

Once brimming with ideas but lacking a channel to bring them to fruition, I embarked on the transformative journey of Technovation, unveiling new realms of perception. This initiative not only facilitated the practical application of technical knowledge but also empowered me to create, make meaningful contributions to my community, and establish connections with diverse individuals.

By immersing myself in others' projects, I gleaned insights into the myriad challenges our world grapples with, recognizing the immense potential of our small hands when coupled with technology and entrepreneurship to instigate substantial change. It's remarkable how seemingly modest actions can catalyze significant transformations. I express my heartfelt gratitude to the program for bestowing upon me indelible memories, newfound skills, and invaluable social connections.

I always loved technology and the idea of helping the world by trying to solve one of its problems. Technovation was a really great opportunity for me to use my experience in coding, and to use my creativity to solve problems in the world. Additionally, I got to learn more about the work it takes to create a unique business and how to make it survive on the market which was great! Technovation gave me the opportunity to learn, create a business, use technology and get to know the world of entrepreneurship!

When I heard about Technovation, I immediately took an interest in the program and convinced my friend to do it with me. It was an experience none of us regretted. I first discovered my passion for entrepreneurship and finance in addition to learning more about coding, an area that previously seemed complex and almost beyond my reach.

By participating in Technovation, I also practiced staying organized, which was nothing but beneficial. Although my experience was 100% online due to the pandemic, I had an adventure that was no less dynamic. My passionate mentors were always there to help my teammate and I and to answer our many questions. In addition, I was able to familiarize myself with tools such as Mural and Zoom.

Technovation was the starting point of my passion for technology and programming, which I still fervently pursue now. It’s incredible how, from such a young age, I was able to meet and work with some of the leaders in the domains of tech and entrepreneurship. I truly looked forward to every single workshop and gained so much insight on all aspects of tech entrepreneurship (teamwork, coding, marketing, design, pitching my ideas, etc.). Most importantly, what I will always remember is the accepting, engaged and supportive community (built up by my teammates, my mentors and the organizers) that helped me all throughout my journey and beyond; It’s a place where I felt like, as a young girl pursuing STEM, I belonged. I think Technovation really shaped my aspirations and gave me the confidence to speak up and believe in myself. That’s why I’m so glad to be able to give back!

Ever since I was young, I’ve taken an interest in science and technology. I started off by doing robotics in grade 3 and am continuing to do so with the addition of coding. Learning about technological advances has always been an interest of mine that has since evolved since participating in Technovation. This organization has not only taught me how to build a business idea from scratch but has also built my confidence in multiple ways from coding skills to entrepreneurial skills. These skills I’ve learnt will always help me and I’m forever grateful to have been a part of such an empowering project.

For young girls like me, it's crucial to know that there's a place for us in the science and technology sector, and that there are structures in place to help us realize our ambitions. The human experience provided by Technovation Montréal is absolutely invaluable - to be understood, encouraged and stimulated by a formidable team, passionate mentors and highly involved consultants. Having benefited from these assets along the way, I'd love to pass on this sense of community, support and resources to tomorrow's participants. My insatiable curiosity and love of learning led me to participate in the Technovation Montréal program. Thanks to this experience, I was able to deepen my understanding of business issues, develop my programming skills, and acquire greater entrepreneurial confidence. My participation in the program was a major springboard towards the foundation of my company, where I apply these learnings on a daily basis and perfect my coding skills.

As an ambassador for Technovation Montréal, I want to spread the word about this program in various communities to inspire more young girls to explore the fascinating world of technology and programming.
